Bord Gáis Energy Local Heroes Hive EV Charge Point and Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Offer

Terms and Conditions for the Bord Gáis Energy Local Heroes Hive EV Charge Point and Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Offer (the “Offer”).

We recommend that you read the Terms and Conditions carefully, as they set out our responsibilities to you and the terms and conditions which you need to comply with as a customer who has purchased and arranged for the installation of an EV Charge Point at their property through localheroes.ie and who wishes to avail of an offer of three (3) Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) smart speakers.

By availing of the Offer you agree to the Terms and Conditions. They are separate to and distinct from any other contracts you may have with us.

  1. What the words mean:
    • “Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen)” means the Amazon smart speaker. The Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) that will be supplied is the 3rd Generation model.
    • “Bord Gáis Energy” or “we” or “us” means Bord Gáis Energy Limited, a limited company incorporated in Ireland with company number 463078 and having its registered address at 1, Warrington Place, Dublin 2 and, for the avoidance of doubt, includes all employees, servants, agents, contractors, and sub-contractors of Bord Gáis Energy (and all employees of any such agents, contractors, and sub-contractors).
    • “EV Charge Point” means the Electric Vehicle (EV) charge point to be installed at your property by the Local Hero. The EV Charge Point models available for installation will be either a ‘Hive Mini Pro 3 Tethered’ or ‘Hive Mini Pro 3 Socketed’.
    • “Local Hero” means the trader you engage through the Bord Gáis Energy Local Heroes platform, localheroes.ie, who is responsible for delivering and installing the EV Charge Point at your property.
    • “Local Heroes Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions on which the EV Charge Point installation is completed, as agreed between you and the designated Local Hero.
  2. Eligibility Criteria
    • To avail of the Offer, customers must: -
      • place an order for an EV Charge Point installation and pay the full deposit on the Local Heroes platform, localheroes.ie, at any time between 14 February 2025 and 30 April 2025 (inclusive) (the “Offer Window”);
      • have the EV Charge Point installation completed by the designated Local Hero on or before 15 June 2025; and
      • discharge the remaining balance of the EV Charge Point installation when you receive the final balance request in accordance with the Local Heroes Terms and Conditions.
  3. The Offer
    • Subject to the eligibility criteria set out above, this Offer entitles you to three (3) Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) speakers once an EV Charge Point has been purchased and installed by a Local Hero at your property.
    • We reserve the right to pause the Offer during the Offer Window, extend the duration of the Offer beyond 30 April 2025, end it before that date, or otherwise to amend these Terms and Conditions. If we decide to end or amend the Offer during the Offer Window, customers who have already placed an order for an EV Charge Point and paid the specified deposit in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be eligible to avail of the Offer.
    • This Offer is strictly subject to availability and can be withdrawn by us at any time.
    • The Offer is not transferrable and no cash alternative is available.
    • To benefit from the Offer, customers must be over 18, the registered owner of the property where the EV Charge Point will be installed and be a resident of the Republic of Ireland.
    • The promoter of the Offer is Bord Gáis Energy, PO Box 10943, Dublin 2.
  4. Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen)
    • The colour of the Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) speaker will be either sandstone or charcoal. The choice of colour will be strictly at our discretion and subject to availability.
    • The Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) speakers will be delivered directly to your property by the EV Charger Installer, on the day of your EV Charger Installation, and will be given to you once the EV Charger has been successfully installed.
    • In the unlikely event that your Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) develops a fault within twelve months of delivery, please phone us on 016110153 to report the issue and we will arrange for a replacement device to be issued. You will be required to return the faulty product to us at Bord Gáis Energy, PO Box 10943 and will be liable for any postal charge payable to return the faulty product.
